OCS FAITH & FOUNDATIONS

OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH:

The biblical foundation that guides all we do.

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God. It is the basis of knowing God’s will on earth and is divinely inspired. We believe in the one true God, the Creator of the universe, the God of the Old and New Testaments. We believe the Godhead exists in three Persons: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of a virgin, who lived without sin. He became flesh, was crucified, and was raised bodily from the grave on the third day. His death was the ultimate atonement for sin. He will return to Earth in final judgment of the just and unjust. He left His Holy Spirit to admonish, teach, bring to repentance, indwell, and set apart believers in a holy, daily lifestyle.

We believe that salvation comes by grace through faith in the gospel, and that salvation involves repentance—turning from our own ways to God’s ways. We believe that you enter the kingdom of God by being reborn through spirit and water through faith in Jesus. We are called to live in community with other believers through the local church.

OCS is not a church but a tool for Christian parents who seek its help in leading their children to be fully-equipped children of God—as they go away from the school and out into the world.
