Mission Statement

As children of our Father God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and redeemed by our Savior Jesus (whose return we await), we believe all children are created in His image and are worthy of respect. We believe that all children deserve the opportunity to develop to their fullest potential; that honesty and personal responsibility are essential values; that conditioning the body is as important as conditioning the mind; that the artist resides in every soul created by Him; that potential exists in every child; and that all students must grow with understanding of their spiritual nature and moral responsibilities. Since 1974, Ouachita Christian School has embraced these core beliefs, Preparing Youth for Time and Eternity.

Kindergarten Raises $500 for Amelia Spires's Heart Project

Mrs. Michele's class wore red and raised money today in honor of the Amelia Spires Heart Project! Amelia Spires is a Kindergartener in Mrs Palowsky's class this year. Amelia was born with a rare genetic mutation, which caused her to be born with multiple heart defects, some so severe that she was worked up for a heart transplant in 2019. However, God's amazing grace and a clinical trial medication out of Canada allowed Amelia to escape heart transplant and now grow into the thriving kindergartener she is today. The Amelia Spires Heart Project is a nonprofit organization that her family created to raise money for the pediatric families of Louisiana and the Gulf South region who have had to relocate to the New Orleans area to await a heart transplant and other major cardiac surgeries.
